We are pleased to partner with CNY Jazz Central to bring to life “Jazz at the Cavalier,” which will take place Wednesday evenings from 5:30 to 8:30 pm. Twenty eight events are scheduled, featuring Upstate New York’s finest resident jazz and cabaret vocalists with grand piano accompaniment.
Experience an intimate cabaret atmosphere in the cozy surroundings of our Cavalier Room as you listen to the finest cabaret voices. There’s a new show every week! “Jazz at the Cavalier” is the perfect event in downtown Syracuse to help get you through the rest of the work week. The City of Syracuse will host its annual “Home for the Holidays” celebration the day after Thanksgiving Day on Friday, November 24, 2017. The event will feature the beloved Clinton Square tree lighting ceremony, with entertainment beginning at 6:30 p.m. and the tree being lit at 7:00 p.m.
Ice Skating in Clinton Square will be permitted all day, weather permitting, from 11:00 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. The rink will open again shortly following the ceremony.

Freddy Fest at Palace Theater pays tribute to iconic ‘A Nightmare on Elm Street’ Franchise.
Oh, what a frightfully fun way to spend a fall evening in Syracuse. For many, the crisp fall evenings are best spent curled up watching a spooky film. If you fall into that category, Freddy Fest at Palace Theater is exactly what you have been looking for!
Horror fans and movie buffs alike will love the all-day event, Freddy Fest, at Palace Theater on Saturday, October 14. The film festival in Syracuse is dedicated to the ‘A Nightmare on Elm Street’ franchise and all films from the franchise will be shown on original 35 mm film, with a few exceptions. The movie marathon will not include “Wes Craven’s New Nightmare” or the 2010 remake of ‘A Nightmare on Elm Street.’
