Take a look at the best Syracuse attractions when visiting our historic hotel!
As we put the final touches on our historic Syracuse hotel, we are getting more and more excited to welcome guests to our area. When staying the night with us, we invite you to explore our city and check out the best Syracuse attractions. See what tops our must- see list!
Shopping – Destiny USA offers shopping, dining and entertainment with over 250 places to shop, dine and play. The destination is visited by 26 million guests every year and is the largest shopping center in New York.
Outdoor spaces – Thorden Park and Oneida Shores Park top our list of some beautiful outdoor Syracuse attractions worth a visit. Between the two, visitors can enjoy gardens, trails, beaches and prime picnic spots.
Sports Fans – The Carrier Dome, not only home to Syracuse University sports (go ‘cuse!) but countless shows, events and concerts have graced its stage.
Education – Speaking of Syracuse University, the campus is just 7 minutes from our doors. The Syracuse area is also home to Onondaga Community College, Le Moyne College and State University of New York Upstate Medical University.
History and culture – Armory Square is home to some of the best Syracuse attractions in one historic destination. First settled in 1804, Armory Square has become a hub of shopping, dining and history all wrapped together. With numerous events taking place through the year including concerts, farmers markets and more, Armory Square is a perfect place to spend a day.
Conventions and Conferences – The Oncenter Complex is so much more than the area’s leading Convention Center as it welcomes amazing concerts by world-famous artists as well as sought-out shows and entertainment. As the official hotel of the Oncenter, we are looking forward to welcoming guests visiting for any Oncenter events!
Over the coming months we provide greater detail into the specific attractions and events around the Syracuse area. We look forward to welcoming all of our guests to the Marriott Syracuse Downtown, formerly Hotel Syracuse!
