The delectable duo of wonderful wine and jubilant jazz is ready to return to the Downtown Syracuse area.
In 2002, the Central New York Jazz Arts Foundation sought to create a festival to bring the culture and smooth sounds of jazz music to the downtown Syracuse area. In the following years, they sponsored many local Syracuse events that presented the genre of jazz music in a variety of forms, providing unforgettable experiences for many in the Central New York area. This was the genesis of the now highly-anticipated “Syracuse Artsweek” and the true highlight of the summer calendar – The Northeast Jazz and Wine Festival.
Now in its 9th year, the two-day NE Jazz and Wine Festival 2018 will return to Clinton Square, in the heart of downtown Syracuse, on July 27th and July 28th. Being free and open to all who wish to attend, you can expect quite the crowd of jazz and wine enthusiasts alike. Yet this community event is also a celebration of the local culture of Central New York, and is considered the area’s “gateway to summer fun!” The line-up of local, regional and nationally known musicians and wineries is still growing. But if last year’s event that was comprised of three music stages of performances and over 1,000 guided wine tastings is any indication, this year promises to be bigger and better than ever!
Being centrally located in the city, the Marriott Syracuse Downtown hotel is a hub for your information and enjoyment of what’s happening in Syracuse all the days of the year.
