Wedding favors that your guests will actually want to take home

chocolate pops favors

Gone are the days when we’d leave a wedding with a bag of jaw-breaking candy wrapped tightly in a piece of tulle. Now, guests (and the wedding couple) want something more memorable – something special, and especially something a little more personal.

We’re fortunate to host many weddings at the Marriott Syracuse Downtown, and along with the joy of all the event planning comes the fun of seeing new ideas and often helping to brainstorm and create something different. One thing we’ve really noticed, is that wedding favors change constantly, and although they have taken on more importance, they have also become more fun and affordable. The options are endless (and they no longer have to make a big dent in your wedding budget).

  • Monograms will always be a popular choice, but now names are being placed on wine bottles, glasses, and even the bride‚Äôs favorite bar of supermarket chocolate.
  • Miniature plants in vintage containers are perfect for the DIY couple, or a vintage-inspired bride who wants to give a gift that will be both practical and pretty.
  • Edibles are big right now (and one of our favorite trends). Sometimes, we’re hungry after a wedding, so who wouldn’t like to find a beautifully wrapped cupcake or a bag of chocolate truffle pops next to their place setting?
  • Inexpensive Polaroid cameras are finding their way back onto the table – making an instant souvenir for everyone and adding even more fun and laughter to the occasion.

Weddings are a wonderful opportunity to share your happiness with those you love and care about, so why not take some time to personalize your wedding favors and create a beautiful memory for your guests as well.
